I’d never had therapy with a psychologist and, as such, was a bit sceptical about it, I had the idea of it being very formal with lots of “and how did that make you feel?”.  All of that was blown straight out of the water upon meeting Louisa. She made me feel genuinely at ease. She is direct, but in a kind way. 

We had 18 sessions, which culminated in EMDR. A deeply traumatic memory which haunted me for over 30 years was healed. Not erased or covered up but healed. I can picture it right now and it barely elicits a reaction at all. A bit of sadness but not the hopelessness and seemingly endless rage that occurred before. 
It really is a process and a truly collaborative one at that. It isn’t easy at all, but with Louisa there guiding you it can be done. I trusted her completely – which is very rare for me – and had total faith in her as a professional but also as a person.
