Psychological Therapy
When we experience a stressful life event or traumatic experience, our psychological resilience can become drained and we can become stuck in unhelpful patterns (ways of thinking, relating to others, unhealthy or risk-taking behaviours). Psychological therapy can help us develop a greater level of awareness into our unhelpful patterns and can help us start to build alternative ways of coping.

At Resilient Minds Psychology we can help you recover and rebuild your psychological resilience in a safe and collaborative space. We prioritise compassion and work with you in a way that is responsive to your needs, at a pace that suits you. Our treatment style is integrative, drawing on Trauma Informed approaches, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Good lives Model, Motivational Interviewing, Attachment and Schema Therapy. You can read more about Louisa’s experience, areas of difficulty she can support and professional qualifications by visiting the “about Louisa” page.
Louisa offers both online and in person therapy. In person sessions are located within a clinic space in Ashford, Kent. Other locations in South East Kent or Medway maybe available.
Successful therapy is as much about the therapeutic relationship as it is the type of therapy used. It is really important you feel comfortable and able to talk openly and develop a trusting relationship. We therefore offer a free 20 minute consultation call to consider if we could be a good fit for what you need. Clinical & Academic Supervision
At Resilient Minds Psychology UK we are able to provide clinical and academic supervision.

Since qualifying in 2015 Louisa has successfully supervised trainees in becoming qualified psychologists.
- Louisa is able to provide a calm and boundaried space, whilst using a motivational and collaborative approach to professional development.
- Louisa supports the process of learning, whilst prioritising and balancing workload with personal well-being.
- Louisa considers the supervisors role as a“collaborator” supporting trainees to understand and develop their own unique practitioner style.
- Louisa is skillful in developing a trusting relationship with trainees, which enhances the ability to provide a feeling of safety within supervision. This allows trainees to give an honest appraisal of themselves, their work and their experience of supervision. This is often important as supervision can involve the supervisee ‘going beyond their comfort zone’ in order to embrace new skills or to consider their emotional reactions to a client.
ADHD Assessment
ADHD can effect all areas of life, including education, work, relationships, as well as mental health. Undiagnosed adults have often learned to mask and / or compensate for their symptoms. This can mean they appear to be very functional, while feeling like they are constantly bordering on a state of overwhelm.
We offer thorough and evidence-based ADHD assessments, in line with the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidelines and standards. At the end of the assessment process we provide you with a written report you can share with your GP / local ADHD service.
